Welcome to Our Class!

If you are reading this then it can only mean one thing...you are in Mrs.O'Steen and Mr. Gardella's third grade class at Crystal Springs. We are so happy you are in our class and we are excited about a new year teaching together this year.

Mr. Gardella and I have been team teaching for the last 7 years but this year we will be co-teaching.
We will be working together to teach all of the subjects however I will focus on the Reading and Language Arts and Mr. Gardella will focus on Math, Science and Social Studies.

We will use this blog to keep you informed about important things going on in the classroom and school. Check in often!

Here are some important dates already to mark on your calendar:

September 9 Early dismissal
September 10 Open House for 3rd-5th grade


Basic classroom procedures

*Class will start promptly at 8:30 each morning.
*Students will have a planner to write homework assignments in every afternoon. Parents should review and sign the planner nightly. This will be the daily communication between home and school.
*Each Friday students will bring home a folder with important notices and a folder with graded work from that week to be reviewed, signed and returned to school the following Monday.
*Please not a new school policy which states that cupcakes, cookies, etc. will not be allowed in the class or cafeteria for birthday celebrations. Birthdays will be recognized monthly in the cafeteria and classroom.

Needed Classroom Supplies:

2 folders with prongs and pockets
2 spiral notebooks
1 composition notebook
1package erasable pens blue or black
1 package notebook paper
1 package post it notes
1 box of tissues
1 bottle soft soap
1 box large freezer zip lock bags
